Last month marked the official completion of our Main Street Project. I would like to thank all those involved that helped make this project a success. It was not an easy project and took great sacrifice by many. However, in the end, the project was completed on time and under budget.
I would like to express my appreciation to the Utah Department of Transportation, the Utah County Commissioners, the Mountainland Association of Governments, and the Santaquin City Council. Thanks also goes to our Utah County Engineer and all our Utility Partners; Rocky Mountain Power, Questar Gas, CentraCom, Century Link, Summit Creek Irrigation, and the East Santaquin Irrigation Company.
A special thank you goes out to the Condie Construction Company and all of their subcontractors for their quality and workmanship.
No project of this size would be a success without exceptional project management. For this I would like to thank our Community Development Director, Dennis Marker, for the administration of this project, and JUB Engineers, specifically Mark Christiansen and Norm Beagley for their design, coordination, and construction management. A special thanks to staff members Jared Shepherd, Wade Eva, Jason Callaway, and Ben Reeves for their work and support which has helped make this project a success. Last but not least, I want to thank the citizens of Santaquin for being patient during this construction period.
Again, I want you to know that I am available to discuss your questions and concerns on the second Tuesday of every month. Visits are made “by appointment only” from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in our new building located at 275 West Main Street. Appointments can be scheduled through Susan Farnsworth, City Recorder, who can be reached at (801)-754-3211 x 204. If unable to visit with me during the set times, please call the City Recorder & I will try to accommodate your time schedule.
