Miss Santaquin Pageant Postponed
Citing an insufficient number of contestants, the City has postponed the 2012 Miss Santaquin Pageant for the time being. The minimum number of participants is four and there are currently only two young ladies set to compete.
Soliciting Crackdown
It was publicly announced that any solicitors visiting businesses in Santaquin must carry with them a business license issued from the city when doing business in town. If a solicitor is caught doing business without the license (card) they are subject to a Class C misdemeanor and could face a penalty.
Citing a major problem in the past few days with unlicensed solicitors visiting local businesses, the city asked for help from the local business owners. Businesses are encouraged to ask to see any solicitors city-issued card, if the solicitor doesn’t have one the businesses should contact the appropriate authorities.
